Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Anuradhapura

Arrive in Sri Lanka and receive a warm welcome. Transfer to Anuradhapura, the island’s ancient capital, for a guided tour of its sacred stupas and royal ruins. Overnight in Anuradhapura.

Day 2: Wilpattu Safari – Habarana

Embark on a morning safari in Wilpattu National Park, renowned for its leopards and birdlife. Continue to Habarana for check-in and relaxation.

Day 3: Minneriya Safari – Habarana

Enjoy a wildlife safari in Minneriya National Park, famous for the spectacular elephant gathering. Return to Habarana for the night.

Day 4: Sigiriya & Kaudulla – Habarana

Climb the legendary Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the afternoon, explore Kaudulla National Park, another haven for elephants and migratory birds.

Day 5: Dambulla Cave Temple – Kandy

Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, adorned with ancient murals and Buddha statues. Proceed to Kandy, the cultural capital, and settle in for the evening.

Day 6: Peradeniya – Nuwara Eliya

Stroll through the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya, then journey into the cool highlands of Nuwara Eliya, surrounded by tea plantations and waterfalls.

Day 7: Horton Plains & Ambewela – Nuwara Eliya

Set out early for a trek in Horton Plains National Park, home to World’s End and Baker’s Falls. Visit the lush dairy farms of Ambewela before returning to Nuwara Eliya.

Day 8: Nuwara Eliya – Sinharaja Rainforest

Travel to the Sinharaja Rainforest, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, for a guided nature walk amid endemic flora and fauna.

Day 9: Sinharaja – Udawalawe

Continue to Udawalawe National Park for an afternoon safari, seeking elephants, buffalo, and a variety of birdlife.

Day 10: Udawalawe – Yala

Day 11: Yala National Park

Day 13: Ambalangoda – Bentota

Explore the Ambalangoda Mask Museum and the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. Return to Bentota for leisure or optional water sports.

Day 14: Bentota – Colombo

Travel to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling capital. Enjoy a city tour, shopping, and a taste of local cuisine.

Day 15: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward journey, enriched by the memories of Sri Lanka’s northern and eastern marvels.
