Itinerary
Arrive in Sri Lanka and receive a warm welcome. Travel to Sigiriya, stopping en route at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to observe rescued elephants. Enjoy an elephant-back ride in Habarana before checking in at your hotel.
Explore the ancient city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its sacred stupas and royal ruins. Return to Sigiriya for the night.
Day 3: Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Minneriya – Sigiriya
Climb the legendary Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the morning. Continue to Dambulla to visit its famed cave temples, then proceed to Kandy, the spiritual heart of Sri Lanka.
Stroll through the lush Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya. In the evening, experience the Kandy Esala Perahera procession-a dazzling display of dancers, drummers, fire-breathers, and elephants parading through the city to honor the Sacred Tooth Relic.
Journey into Sri Lanka’s tea country, visiting a working tea estate and savoring the cool climate of Nuwara Eliya, known for its colonial charm and scenic landscapes.
Travel through the highlands to Kitulgala, famed for its lush rainforests and adventure activities. Continue to Bentota on the southwest coast.
