Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Pinnawala – Habarana

Arrive in Sri Lanka and receive a warm welcome from your local guide. Travel to Habarana, stopping at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to observe rescued elephants. Enjoy an elephant-back ride before checking in at your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Habarana – Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Minneriya – Habarana

Climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the morning. Continue to Polonnaruwa to explore ancient ruins, then embark on an afternoon safari in Minneriya National Park, famed for its elephant gatherings.

Day 3: Habarana – Wilpattu – Habarana

Set out for Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka’s largest, for a full-day jeep safari. Spot leopards, sloth bears, and a variety of birdlife before returning to Habarana.

Day 4: Habarana – Dambulla – Kandy

Travel south, pausing at the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to the hill city of Kandy, surrounded by lush forests.

Day 5: Kandy – Peradeniya – Kandy

Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya, renowned for their tropical flora. Return to Kandy for a city tour or a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Day 6: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Ascend into the cool, misty hills of Nuwara Eliya, passing tea plantations and waterfalls. Tour a working tea factory and relax in the “Little England” of Sri Lanka.

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya – Horton Plains – Nuwara Eliya

Trek through Horton Plains National Park, home to World’s End escarpment and Baker’s Falls. Return to Nuwara Eliya for the evening.

Day 8: Nuwara Eliya – Udawalawe – Yala

Travel to Udawalawe National Park for a jeep safari to observe elephants and other wildlife. Continue to Yala for overnight.

Day 9: Yala National Park

Embark on morning and afternoon safaris in Yala National Park, known for its high density of leopards, elephants, deer, and exotic birds.

Day 10: Yala – Sinharaja

Journey to Sinharaja Rainforest, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and check in to a rainforest lodge.

Day 11: Sinharaja – Galle – Bentota

Enjoy a guided trek in Sinharaja, spotting endemic birds and rare flora. Continue to the southern coast, stopping at the historic Galle Fort before reaching Bentota.

Day 12: Bentota – Ambalangoda – Bentota

Visit the Ambalangoda Mask Museum and the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. Enjoy a river safari on the Madu Ganga and relax on the beach.

Day 13: Bentota – Colombo

Travel to Colombo for a city tour, exploring markets, colonial architecture, and local cuisine.

Day 14: Colombo – Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward journey, taking with you unforgettable memories of Sri Lanka’s wild wonders.
